I started with a blank page but you can also start with a template if you prefer, and the price is definitely right (free).unless you like it as much as I did and decide to grab the upgrade! Highly recommended for anyone who doesn't want to learn to write code. That's a real time save for growing sites. Easy peasy! The link menu and footer are global, so if you make an edit to either it's changed on every page. Drag and drop images to replace the images as well. You just drag and drop content blocks into place then edit the text to say what you want. It creates great looking, responsive websites visually. ![]() I'd even recommend it to those with no web design experience because you don't have to see even one line of code. All in all I find this is a very easy to use editor. Like I said though, that's a minor complaint, especially compared to the ease of use and outstanding results. I can do that with the upgrade, but it seems like it should be included with the other text emphasis options in the free version. Mostly it's just personal preferences, but while there are bold and italic options for emphasizing text, I wish there was an underline option as well. Are there things I wish were different? Yes, but I could say that about any software program I use. ![]() It went faster than I could have coded by hand. I built a great looking test site - very quickly - with the free version. I watched a couple tutorials and gave it a try, and couldn't be more pleased. I wasn't very impressed with any of them until I found Mobirise. As I've gotten older I've found it harder to keep up with coding technology, so I recently tried a handful of HTML editors. I've been coding websites by hand (using Notepad) since 1997. Great program, and you can't go wrong with free! I think that after using the free version to find out how simple Mobirise is to use, most people would see the benefit of access to much more in-depth options so the reasonable subscription, IMO, is good value for anyone who needs to make their own websites. When trying to think of any negatives, the main one for me would be that when making a very big site it would be helpful to have more control over organising the image library, but for average sites this isn't an issue. If you don't want to do any back-end work, the considerable library of pre-made blocks and templates offers some great editable design options. In the past couple of years I have developed much larger sites with Mobirise, and having access to extensions like the code editor allows basic blocks to be adapted to exact needs - it works very well and has been 100% reliable. Over the years I developed small sites using Mobirise, again very fast and easy. Initially I used it as a quick sketch tool for getting ideas down fast, and it is really fast for that. ![]()
